Partners summary

China Kingho Group is the largest private enterprise for the extraction, enrichment, coking of coal and coal chemistry. The production capacity of the corporation, which employs over 20 thousand people, is located in several regions of China. It has made large investments in Mozambique, Mongolia, Pakistan and Sierra-Leone. It is also positioned as an integrated company engaged in metallurgy, building materials, chemical industry, logistics and hotel business.

Description of the project

The Kazakh-Chinese joint venture "Karagandy CCI" LLP intends to process over 2,5 mln tonnes of coal per year from the Shubarkol and Kuznetsky open-pit mines and also produce up to 1 mln tonnes of diesel fuel per year. The project aims at introducing modern technologies that will make it possible to produce synthetic liquid fuel and petrochemical products from coal, including gas, diesel fuel, urea. The project will provide the country’s domestic market with high-quality diesel, develop the central region of the country and produce coal chemical products. 

China Kingho Energy Group has signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of coal-based clean energy comprehensive utilization with Kazakh government and other partners under the witnessing of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan, on September 7, 2013. The project is one of 51 China–Kazakhstan joint venture projects announced.
