INVESTORS SUMMARY

The Export-Import Bank of China: The Export-Import Bank of China is a state-funded and state-owned policy bank with the status of an independent legal entity. It is a bank directly under the leadership of the State Council and dedicated to supporting China’s foreign trade, investment and international economic cooperation. With the Chinese government’s credit support, the Bank plays a crucial role in promoting steady economic growth and structural adjustment, supporting foreign trade, and implementing the “going global” strategy. 

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

Within the framework of the state program “Nurly Zhol”, 22 road projects with a total length of 4,400 km are envisaged. As stated by the Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhenis Kasymbek, speaking at the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for the first half-year 112 billion tenge was assimilated for the projects being implemented, 80 thousand people were involved. According to him, “Under the Center-South project, the Ministry has started implementation of Kurty -Burylbaital road section having length 228 km that will be financed by the World and European banks. Also, at the expense of budget until the end of the third quarter, we plan to begin construction and reconstruction of the North-East bypass of Karaganda. Starting from 2018, we plan to start Balkhash-Burylbaytal section (297 km) at the expense of the World Bank and Kurty-Kapshagai (67 km), Karaganda-Balkhash (364 km) in 2019.
