Partners summary

Qingdao Long Hai Road and Bridge Corporation, established in 2003, is a transportation infrastructure developer. It is one of the most flourishing divisions of the Longhai Investment Group. The company has contracted and subcontracted many large projects since its establishment. The company proved immensely lucrative by winning tenders to build multiple intercity expressway projects around the bay area in Shandong province, including an elevated highway bridging districts of Qingdao and a section of southbound railroad.

Description of the project

The length of the road section is 104 km. The Kyrgyz government has funded only 180 mln KGS ($ 2,7 mln), while the contractor carried out work worth 517 mln KGS ($ 7,7 mln), investing 337 mln KGS ($ 5 mln). [1] Due to the scandal surrounding the tender, the project was suspended. By 2018, only 48 of 104 km of road have been built. The money had run out and laborers were complaining of unpaid salaries.
