1. Location
Jizzakh is surrounded by the biggest cities Tashkent (185 km), Samarkand (95 km),
Navoiy (248 km) and Bukhara (363 km). Total area of FEZ “Jizzakh” makes up 364 hectares. Distance from International Road M-39 is 18 kms.

Free economic zone “Jizzakh” was established in March 2013 for a period of 30 years with a possibility of further extension.

The Directorare of FEZ “Jizzakh” is a legal entity in a form of state unitary company, created for carrying out operational management of FEZ “Jizzakh”

20 projects with an investment of 106 million USD have been implemented in the territory of FEZ “Jizzakh”.
1). Chinese Anhui Gold Coronet Glass Co., Ltd. joined Chinese entrepreneurs in investing in the SEZ Jjzzakh and its glass dish production factory. The production of glass dish products in the special economic zone (SEZ) Jizzakh SEZ was expected to make up 100.000 units in 2017-18. It will have the capacity to produce 100,000 glass dishes per year and the total cost of the project is 10 mln USD.It is not a BRI project.
2) Chinese Tianjin Guangjuyuan Paper Group Co., Ltd. and Zhongyuan Glass Industrial Equipment Co., Ltd. are establishing thin glass and ultra-thin glass panes, which will decrease the demand for the import of glass panes from Kyrgyzstan and Russia. The companies will establish another side business through the organization of the production of heat-insulating fiberglass products (mats, plates, etc.) at limited liability company Ecoclimat (SEZ Jizzakh). The total cost of the project is 28.9 mln USD for the period 2016-2019. It is not a BRI project.
3) The Chinese Wenzhou Jinsheng Trade Co. established production of medium-capacity electric engines for the domestic market. Production volumes and the number of jobs created have not been reported. The total cost of the project is 3.2 mln USD for the period-2016-17. It is not a BRI project.
4). Feidiao Electrical produces electrical equipment under two famous brands: ANDELI and CHINT. The establishment of the new company decreases the import of electrical spare parts and contributes to local employment through adding value. Further details of the agreement have not been revealed. The total cost of the project is 3.4 mln USD. for the period 2016-17. It is not a BRI project.
6. BRI projects
“PengSheng” Joint Venture was established in 2009 between the Association “Uzbekcharmpoyabzali” and Chinese company “Wenzhou Jinsheng Trade”. It produces ceramic tiles and leather shoes. The total cost of the project made up 26.2 million USD with the annual production capacity of 4.0 million sq.m of ceramic tiles, processing of 600 thousand fells and production of 300 thousand pairs of leather shoes. Currently 800 workers work at the enterprise.
“PengzhongXingsheng” Joint Venture was established in 2013 between the Association “Uzbekcharmpoyabzali” and Chinese company “ZTE (Н.К.) Limited”. It produces mobile phones. The total cost of the project made up 3.2 million USD with the annual production capacity of 100 thousand units. Currently 50 workers work at the enterprise.
Joint venture “Peng Sheng Casing” was established in 2013 between the Association “Uzbekcharmpoyabzali” and Chinese company “Wenzhou Jinsheng Trade”. It produces animal products. The total cost of the project made up 1,4 million USD with the annual production capacity of 1 thousand tons. Currently 100 workers work at the enterprise.
Joint venture “Peng Sheng Feed” was established in 2013 between the Association “Uzbekcharmpoyabzali” and Chinese company “Wenzhou Jinsheng Trade”. It carries out the production of forage for domestic animals and poultry. The total cost of the project made up 1.0 million USD with the annual production capacity of 1 thousand tons. Currently 100 workers work at the enterprise.
Joint venture “QuyoshIssiqlikEnergiyasi” was established in 2014 between “Uzbekenergo” SJSC and Chinese company “Hangzhou Zhongwu Electronic Meters Co. Ltd” that carries out the production of solar water heating systems (collectors). The total cost of the project made up 2.5 million USD with the annual production capacity of 50 thousand pieces. Currently 60 workers work at the enterprise.
Joint venture “AWP” was established in 2014 between JSC “AGMK” and Chinese company “Wenzhou Jinsheng Trade”. It produces sanitary ware items. The total cost of the project made up 7.5 million USD with the annual production capacity of 1.2 million pieces. Currently 100 workers work at the enterprise.
