With the Chinese government’s credit support, the Bank plays a crucial role in promoting steady economic growth and structural adjustment, supporting foreign trade, and implementing the “going global” strategy. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
Total length of the road is 136 km. This project is part of the Dushanbe–Kulma–China road network. The length of the tunnel is 4,450 km.
The project signals the framework project between the two governments of China and Tajikistan. Dates from August 30, 2009, the 147.64 km highway was divided into three stages. The completion of Dushanbe-Kulma highway has greatly facilitated residents to travel along the line and provided strong support for the rapid economic growth in Tajikistan. The construction of the Khatlon Tunnel is also vital, as it will provide a means of travel under the mountain passes.
