Both the governments of China and Tajikistan invest in this project, although China contributes significantly more than Tajikistan.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

The primary goal of the project is to improve the road infrastructure between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. It is now used for trade promotion within the Silk Road Economic Belt. The project signals the framework project between the two governments of China and Tajikistan. Dates from August 30, 2009, the 147.64km highway was divided into three stages. The completion of Dushanbe-Kulma highway has greatly facilitated residents to travel along the line and provided strong support for the rapid economic growth in Tajikistan.
