NFC’s business covers a wide spectrum of nonferrous metal project execution ranging from engineering, consultancy, equipment supply and installation, technical service, commissioning to personnel training. Holding resources integration capability and overall strength, including market development, design, investment and financing, resource exploration, project management, and equipment supply network based on competitive edges of set equipment and talents in this field as well as support from the government. NFC is covered in many places in the world, Central Asia being one of them which centers in Kazakhstan.
Eurasian Energy Corporation (EEC) JSC - Founded in 1996, Eurasian Energy Corporation JSC (EEC) is one of the largest power suppliers in Kazakhstan. It is a subsidiary of the Eurasian Resources Group in the city of Aksu. EEC includes three units: the Vostochny open-pit coal mine, which is a unique enterprise specializing in open-pit mining, the Aksu Power Plant and Production Repair Department. Since 2001, EEC has been implementing an ambitious programme to rehabilitate generating units of the Aksu Power Plant. To date, comprehensive modernization of five out of eight units has been completed. As a result of the works performed, the installed capacity of the plant now totals 2,450 MW. Rehabilitation of the generating units is aimed at increasing the reserve capacity of the power plant, the reliability and durability of equipment, improving production performance and making it environmentally friendly.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
The project will increase the power of each unit from 300 to 325 MW.
